St Patrick's day sticking project for childminders

Saint Patrick’s Day is a cultural and religious holiday celebrated on 17 March by Irish people and people of Irish decent worldwide. It commemorates Saint Patrick and the arrival of Christianity in Ireland. St. Patrick’s Day is one of the most widely celebrated saint’s days in the world and has also become a secular celebration of Irish culture in general.

One tradition of St. Patrick’s Day is to wear green including green ribbons and shamrocks. Shamrocks are three leaved plants originally used by St. Patrick to explain the Holy Trinity (an aspect of Christianity) to Irish pagans.
