Understanding, developing and refining your childminding curriculum is one of the most important tasks a childminder must do. Your curriculum is the basis for everything you teach the children in your care, so getting it right is important. A carefully considered childminding curriculum should provide the children a balanced range of learning opportunities across all areas of learning, while also taking into account their particular needs or interests. If you have an Ofsted inspection it is also really important that you are able to talk about your curriculum with the inspector, explaining what you are teaching the children and why.
