Three simple ways to improve the safety of this photo:
- Always use the safety straps on the pushchair. This will stop the child from climbing out while your back is turned (like when you are crossing a busy road).
- Always push the pushchair with two hands so you have more control. Teach a young child to hold onto the push chair while you are walking rather than your hand.
- Teach young children to walk on the inside of the pavement away from the cars rather than the ‘dangerous side’. This way if they trip and fall they won’t fall under a car.
